I said more than once what I think about this “$100 laptop” (check http://maurosjungle.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!F3CEB0849B03B6CC!292.entry). Now it is officially the “US$188 laptop”:

 

“The One Laptop per Child Foundation's XO laptop will sell for about $188, up from the $176 the group announced in May, said foundation spokesman George Snell.”

 

Mind you that they haven’t mass produced the product, the question of taxes, warranty and tech support is still open. So US$188 is likely not to be the last of it.
